Howard Atwood Kelly, a renowned doctor and one of the founders of Johns Hopkins Medical College, is well known for his accomplishments in the field of gynecology. His dedication to his religion and the Temperance Movement has also been fairly well documented. What many people don’t know if that Dr. Kelly, like his sister Dora Kelly Lewis, was also a suffragist (at least for a time).
