Bill Brown

Graduated from Morgan State, where he won the Mile Relay at Penn Relays and won the silver medal for 800 meter at NCAA championships. He toured Europe as part of 3 all-star teams and won on gold in the 4×400 relay & silver in the 800 meter at the 1951 Pan Am games. Coach Brown was coach and athletic director at Central Consolidated for 15 years where he led teams to 8 state titles in track, 6 in cross country, and 2 in basketball’s B and C class.

After Harford County schools desegregated in 1965, he coached track & field and football at Bel Air High School, where he won state championships in 1967 and 1968 in track, and became athletic director. He is a Maryland State Athletic Hall of Fame member.
