Mr. Pettit, a graduate of Aberdeen High School in Harford County,  wrote the book ‘Under Color of Law’ to acknowledge his mother and father’s contribution to the Civil Rights Laws of this nation and to warn America to the movement to the Right and destruction of the Civil Rights Laws which have been forged.  He will discuss highlights of his career and his fight for justice and equality, including an inside look at a presidential campaign and administration.

Dwight Pettit is a graduate of Howard University (BA 1967) and Howard University Law ( JD 1970), He served in the Small Business Administration Legal Division National Office in 1970 and as District Counsel for Washington, D.C. District Office of Small Business Administration in 1971-1972. In 1973, he served as a Public Defender and began his private law practice which continues to the present. His practice includes: Constitutional and Civil Rights Litigation and Criminal Law
