Oh, The Stories We Can Tell

Historical Society Trustee, Chris Potts will interview local planner,  author and historian, Carol L. Deibel, delving into the dramatic changes she experienced in her 26 years as the Town’s Planning Director and the transition Bel Air made from a rural county seat to the center of a growing suburban hub. The presentation will cover the push for development in the mid-80s and 90s, Historic preservation efforts, the development of Rockfield Park and the town’s park system, the cultural arts initiative, the Main Street program, streetscape initiatives and some of the people who played important roles along the way.
