Dr. James Gibb, Director of the Smithsonian Environmental Archaeological  Laboratory and Dr. Adam Fracchia, research associate and practicing archaeologist at the University of Maryland and the Smithsonian Institution will provide a general history of the rise and fall of Old Joppa Town (1727 – 1768) as it is currently understood based on past and current archaeological work in the town.
